Chicago public school has banned their students from bringing in a lunch packed from home. Principal of Little Village Academy decided to ban home-packed lunches after watching students bring lunches consisting of soda bottles and flaming hot chips on field trips. The principle of the school said she created the policy after watching students bring “bottles of soda and flaming hot chips” on field trips for their lunch.

Unfortunately, there have been complaints from Little Valley parents and students. Some kids and parents at the school beg to differ about the food quality, saying it doesn’t taste good. According to School, it is an initiative to encourage healthier eating.
